The line between roofer work and Tasker work is about height and structure. Replacing shingles, repairing flashing, re-decking and anything structural is roofer work with the fall-protection equipment and insurance that goes with it — ask to see both and check they are current before anyone goes up. Clearing troughs, fitting guards, sweeping a roof clear of leaves and washing down siding are ladder-and-labour work a competent Tasker does routinely, and Taskly does not check anyone’s cover, so ask about theirs directly.
What you can control is the calendar. Book the autumn trough clear before the rush rather than during it, and have the spring inspection done while a small flashing repair is still small. Every expensive roof repair started as a cheap one somebody deferred.

Is it gutter or eavestrough?
Both. They are the same thing, and a quote that uses one word is not offering a different service from one that uses the other.
Can a Tasker replace my shingles?
No. Shingle replacement, flashing repair and anything structural is licensed, insured roofer work at height. Clearing troughs, fitting guards, sweeping the roof and washing siding are the ladder-and-labour jobs a Tasker does.
Do gutter guards actually work?
They reduce how often you clear rather than removing the need. Under a full maple canopy they are usually worth it; on an open lot with little tree cover they often are not.
