Assembly is the most predictable category on Taskly to price and the easiest to underestimate in time. A three-drawer dresser is under an hour. A wardrobe with sliding doors is a different job entirely: it needs two people for the doors alone, it needs the carcass built lying down and then stood up, and it needs enough clear floor to do that. When you post, name the item and give a model if you have one. That single detail moves an offer from a guess to a price.
Older houses have their own constraint. Narrow stairs and tight landings mean a box that fits through the front door may not make the turn to a second-floor bedroom. Assembling in the room where the item will live is almost always faster than building downstairs and carrying, and a Tasker who asks about the stairs is asking the right question.
Disposal is worth deciding in advance. Flat-pack generates a surprising volume of cardboard and expanded polystyrene, and many buildings will not take it in the bin room in one trip. Some Taskers take it away, some flatten and stack it, some leave it. Agree which in the offer thread rather than on the day, because it is the single most common source of a disappointing finish to an otherwise fine assembly.
Check the finished item before the Tasker leaves, and check the right things. Open and close every drawer and door, because a carcass that is very slightly out of square only shows up there. Push the unit gently at the top to feel for rack. Confirm anything tall has actually been anchored to the wall — anti-tip brackets come in the box with most chests of drawers and wardrobes and are the single most-skipped step in flat-pack assembly, particularly in homes with small children. Ten seconds of checking while someone is still holding a screwdriver saves a return visit.

How long does a wardrobe take?
Considerably longer than a dresser, and it usually wants two people for the doors. Give the model name when you post — that is the difference between an offer that holds and one that changes on the day.
Will the Tasker take the cardboard away?
Some will, some flatten and stack it, some leave it. Agree it in the offer thread. Many buildings will not take a full flat-pack of cardboard to the bin room in one trip.
Can they collect the item from the store?
Some Taskers offer pickup and some do not, and it changes the price meaningfully because it adds a vehicle and a round trip. Say whether the item is already with you.
