Do I need a car to be a Tasker?
No. The launch area is designed around transit — a Tasker can do back-to-back jobs on a single TTC or LRT ride. Thorncliffe Park and Flemingdon to Leaside and Davisville is about 15–20 minutes.
Do I have to pay to join?
Founding Taskers verify for CA$5 instead of the usual CA$35 while we build the founding team. No lead fees, no subscription. Taskly only takes a 20% commission on jobs you actually complete — and you keep 100% of tips.
What if I don’t get a job right away?
Get approved and we’ll personally help you land your first job — browse open tasks from day one and send as many offers as you like.
Can I bring my own clients?
Yes. Already have clients? Bring them onto Taskly — payment secured — the money’s held before you start, a profile that builds your reputation, and masked calls — without changing who you work for.
When and how do I get paid?
The customer’s payment is held by Taskly before the job starts. Once the work is done and confirmed, your share is released to your connected bank account through Stripe.
My credentials aren’t recognised in Ontario yet. Can I still earn?
Yes. Taskly is about what you can actually do, not which licensing board recognises it. Your experience counts here — and your profile builds a real track record customers can see.
How much can I earn?
It depends on how many jobs you take and your ratings, so we won’t promise a number. But you set your own rates and keep ~80% of every job — see the math above.
