About the role
A Talent Acquisition Specialist at Taskly (you may know the role as Recruiter, Technical Recruiter or Talent Partner) finds and hires people for a fully remote team across India, the US, Canada and the UAE. You source on LinkedIn, Naukri, Hirist, Instahyre and Wellfound. You also run Taskly’s published hiring process from the first reply to the written decision. Our roles span engineering, data, product, creative, marketing, sales, operations and finance.
You would work with the founder and each hiring manager, and you would be the person candidates remember. The process is short and public. It has a five-minute application with no cover letter and one 45-minute conversation with the person you would work beside. Then comes a paid day on a real problem, and a written decision with the reason. A person replies to every application within ten working days.
What you’ll do
- Source candidates for engineering, data, product, design, marketing, sales and operations roles on LinkedIn, Naukri, Hirist, Instahyre and Wellfound, and by direct outreach.
- Write role pages and job posts that read like real job descriptions, with honest requirements, clear years and skills spelled the way candidates search them. Keep the posts short and the requirements checkable.
- Reply to every applicant personally within the ten-working-day promise, and give a reason with every decline. Candidates remember that more than anything else.
- Schedule the 45-minute conversation and the paid trial day across time zones, using the shared 8:30–10:30 am Eastern window.
- Brief hiring managers on the role, help them design the trial-day problem and keep structured scorecards.
- Track the funnel in an applicant tracking system or a sheet, from source to decision. Report weekly on time per stage.
- Hand accepted candidates to the HR Generalist for contracts and onboarding, and check in during their first week.
What you’ll need
- 2+ years of recruiting or talent acquisition, in-house or agency, with roles closed in at least two of India, the US, Canada and the UAE.
- Proven sourcing on LinkedIn Recruiter, Naukri, Hirist, Instahyre or Wellfound, with examples of roles you filled and how long each took.
- Experience with an applicant tracking system such as Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby or Zoho Recruit, or a well-kept spreadsheet.
- Enough technical literacy to tell a real React and TypeScript resume from a keyword match.
- Excellent written communication, so every candidate gets a clear, human reply written by you rather than a template.
Education: A degree is welcome but not required. Roles you have filled and the candidate experience you built matter more.
Nice to have
- Recruiting experience at a startup or marketplace (Airbnb, Uber, Urban Company, Swiggy, Airtasker, TaskRabbit, Upwork).
- Experience hiring both technical and non-technical roles for remote teams.
- Experience with structured interviews and work-sample trials, and with writing job descriptions that rank in search.
- Experience with work-sample hiring, where candidates do a real task before an offer.

About Taskly
Taskly is a marketplace for getting anything done. Someone posts a task in their own words — typed, spoken or as a photo — and people who have been reviewed and approved send offers at a firm price. They pick one, and it gets done: a TV mounted, a website built, a parent taught to use their phone. We’re live in Canada and India and opening to more countries, built by a small team that works remotely across India, the US, Canada and the UAE.
