About the role
The Social Media Manager (you may know the role as Social Media Executive or Social Media Marketing Manager) runs Taskly’s accounts on Instagram, LinkedIn, X and YouTube. You decide what goes out each day, reply to the people who answer, and read the numbers to learn what to post next. Posts range from a Tasker finishing a job to a short explainer on posting a task.
Taskly speaks to two audiences, posters who need something done and Taskers who want work, in India and in Canada. You’ll work with the video editor, the content marketing manager and the founder. In six months you should run a calendar across all four platforms, with a weekly report that shows what grew and what did not.
What you’ll do
- Plan and publish a weekly calendar across Instagram, LinkedIn, X and YouTube, adapted to each platform and each audience. Never paste one post everywhere.
- Write captions, hooks and replies in Taskly’s plain voice, for posters in one post and Taskers in the next. Say only what is true about how Taskly works.
- Brief the video editor and designers on Reels and carousels, and review everything before it goes live. Check captions, links and tags every time.
- Answer comments and direct messages within a working day, and route real problems such as a missed task or a payment question to a person who can fix them. Reply in a human voice, never a template.
- Report weekly on reach, engagement, saves, follower growth and clicks to Taskly, using Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn analytics, YouTube Studio and GA4.
- Plan India and Canada audiences separately, with different timing, language and examples.
- Test formats such as carousels, Reels, LinkedIn text posts and X threads, and keep a log of what each test showed. Repeat what works and retire what does not.
What you’ll need
- 2–5 years managing social accounts for a brand or product, with links to accounts you ran and what changed.
- Strong English writing, and the range to move between a LinkedIn post and an Instagram caption.
- Hands-on with scheduling and analytics tools such as Meta Business Suite, Buffer, Hootsuite or Later, and YouTube Studio.
- Working knowledge of UTM tags and GA4, so you can tie a post to a visit.
- Calm judgment with public complaints: you answer honestly and never over-promise.
- Availability to publish and reply across India and Canada time zones, using scheduled posts and the shared weekday window.
Education: A degree is welcome but not required; accounts you have grown matter more.
Nice to have
- Experience at a marketplace (Airbnb, Uber, Urban Company, Swiggy, Airtasker, TaskRabbit, Upwork) or another two-sided product.
- Basic editing of Reels in CapCut or Canva.
- Experience working with creators or user-generated content.
- Fluency in Hindi or another Indian language.

About Taskly
Taskly is a marketplace for getting anything done. Someone posts a task in their own words — typed, spoken or as a photo — and people who have been reviewed and approved send offers at a firm price. They pick one, and it gets done: a TV mounted, a website built, a parent taught to use their phone. We’re live in Canada and India and opening to more countries, built by a small team that works remotely across India, the US, Canada and the UAE.
