About the role

The Content Marketing Manager (you may know the role as Content Strategist, Content Writer or Copywriter) writes and runs everything Taskly publishes in words: the blog, the help centre, city and service pages, LinkedIn posts and newsletters. The goal is plain. When someone searches how to get a task done, or what it should cost, they find a Taskly page that answers it. Tasks range from mounting a TV to building a website, so the subjects are wide and the facts must be exact.

You’ll work with the SEO specialist, the social media manager and the founder. In six months you should own a content calendar, ship SEO briefs that other writers can follow, and have pages ranking for the questions posters and Taskers actually ask.

What you’ll do

  • Plan and run a content calendar across the blog, help centre, city and service pages, LinkedIn and a newsletter. Say what ships each week and who owns it.
  • Write SEO briefs that set out search intent, target keywords, an outline, sources and internal links, for yourself and for freelancers. A good brief lets a stranger write the right page.
  • Write and edit pages that answer real questions, such as how to hire help for a task, what a task costs and how to become a Tasker. Lead with the answer, then the detail.
  • Write help-centre articles on posting a task, comparing offers, payments, disputes and Tasker approval, with the Canada and India differences stated correctly. Check every claim against the product before it is published.
  • Localize content for the Greater Toronto Area and for India, with the right spelling, currency, prices and examples. A page for Toronto should not read like a page for an Indian city.
  • Track results in Google Search Console and GA4, then refresh or merge pages that underperform. Retire pages that serve nobody.
  • Interview Taskers and posters, with their permission, and turn their stories into articles that stay plain, specific and honest.

What you’ll need

  • 3–6 years writing and editing for a business, in content marketing, journalism, copywriting or product writing.
  • A portfolio of at least five published pieces under your name, with links.
  • Working knowledge of SEO: search intent, keyword research, on-page structure and internal linking, using Google Search Console and Ahrefs or Semrush.
  • The ability to write a brief and edit another writer’s draft without rewriting it.
  • Excellent English: clear, specific and free of filler.
  • Comfort writing about money, trust and safety accurately, with no claim you cannot back up.

Education: A degree is welcome but not required; published work matters more.

Nice to have

  • Experience at a marketplace (Airbnb, Uber, Urban Company, Swiggy, Airtasker, TaskRabbit, Upwork) or another two-sided product.
  • Writing city or service page templates that work at scale.
  • Fluency in Hindi or another Indian language.
  • A method for fact-checking AI-assisted drafts.

About Taskly

Taskly is a marketplace for getting anything done. Someone posts a task in their own words — typed, spoken or as a photo — and people who have been reviewed and approved send offers at a firm price. They pick one, and it gets done: a TV mounted, a website built, a parent taught to use their phone. We’re live in Canada and India and opening to more countries, built by a small team that works remotely across India, the US, Canada and the UAE.

Something else? Ask it in your application. A person reads it and answers within ten working days.

We don’t use AI to screen, score or rank applications: a person reads every one. If you upload a resume, AI reads it only to pre-fill your form, and you check every field before you send.
