About the role

As an Account Executive at Taskly (you may see the role called B2B Sales Executive or Sales Specialist), you sell to businesses with recurring work to get done. Think property managers with a list of small repairs, offices that need setup and cleaning, and founders who need a landing page, a video edit or a data clean-up. You run each deal from the first conversation to the first posted task, then keep the account active.

You would work directly with the founder and the marketplace operations side, because every business you sign needs enough approved Taskers in its city. Six months in, success looks like a pipeline you can forecast and a handful of accounts that post tasks every month without being asked. It also looks like a clear list of what business buyers need that Taskly does not do yet.

What you’ll do

  • Build and run a pipeline of property managers, office managers, small businesses and founders. Mix outbound LinkedIn and email with inbound requests.
  • Run discovery calls to learn what work a business has, how often it comes up and how it gets done today.
  • Demo posting a task by voice, photo or text. Walk buyers through offers, firm prices and how Taskers are reviewed before they can send one.
  • Write proposals and agree terms for recurring work. Explain payment clearly: Taskly holds it until the task is done in Canada, and it goes directly in India.
  • Help every new account write a first task that draws good offers. Check in once it is done and set up the next one.
  • Forecast and report weekly from the CRM: stages, win rate, cycle length and the reasons deals were lost.
  • Bring product feedback to the founder, with real examples of what buyers keep asking for. Name the deals that stalled and the reason.

What you’ll need

  • 3+ years of B2B sales or account management with a quota, ideally selling services, a marketplace or SaaS to small businesses.
  • A closed-won deal you can walk us through: how you found it, the deal size, the cycle length and why it closed.
  • Daily use of a CRM such as HubSpot, Salesforce or Pipedrive, and of LinkedIn Sales Navigator or Apollo for prospecting.
  • Clear written proposals and follow-ups, and plain English on calls with busy buyers.
  • Comfort selling without a finished playbook. In a small team you write the playbook as you go.

Education: A degree is welcome but not required. A record of closed deals matters more.

Nice to have

  • Experience selling to property managers, facilities teams, coworking operators or small-business founders.
  • Experience at a marketplace (Airbnb, Uber, Urban Company, Swiggy, Airtasker, TaskRabbit, Upwork) or another two-sided product.
  • An existing network among founders or property managers in Canada, India or the UAE.
  • Comfort running a live demo, including when the demo goes sideways.

About Taskly

Taskly is a marketplace for getting anything done. Someone posts a task in their own words — typed, spoken or as a photo — and people who have been reviewed and approved send offers at a firm price. They pick one, and it gets done: a TV mounted, a website built, a parent taught to use their phone. We’re live in Canada and India and opening to more countries, built by a small team that works remotely across India, the US, Canada and the UAE.

Questions about this role

Straight answers to what people ask most.

Is the Account Executive role remote?

Yes, fully remote. You can work from India, the United States, Canada or the United Arab Emirates, and the team overlaps for two hours each weekday: 8:30–10:30 am Eastern · afternoon in Dubai, evening in India.

How much experience do I need?

About 3–6 years. It’s a guide, not a cut-off: if you can do the work described here, apply.

What does the Account Executive role pay?

Pay isn’t listed here yet. It depends on the country you work from and your experience, and it’s discussed openly in your first conversation.

How do I apply?

Upload your resume on the application page and answer a few short questions. It takes about five minutes, with no cover letter and no account. A person replies within ten working days, yes or no.

What does the hiring process look like?

A 45-minute conversation with the person you’d work beside, then one paid day on a real problem, then a decision in writing, with the reason.

Is this a software sales role?

No. You would sell access to a marketplace where every Tasker is reviewed and approved before they can make an offer, so your pitch is about outcomes and trust rather than features and seats.

Something else? Ask it in your application. A person reads it and answers within ten working days.

We don’t use AI to screen, score or rank applications: a person reads every one. If you upload a resume, AI reads it only to pre-fill your form, and you check every field before you send.

Taskly is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome people of every background, gender, age, religion, disability, sexual orientation and nationality, and we don’t ask about any of them. If anything about the process doesn’t work for you, tell us in your application and we’ll change it.
