About the role
As Taskly’s Product Manager (you may know the role as Marketplace Product Manager or Senior Product Manager), you own how tasks get posted, matched and finished. A poster describes a task by typing, speaking or sending a photo. Taskers, each reviewed and approved first, send offers at a firm price, and the poster picks one. Tasks range from mounting a TV to building a website, so one funnel has to work for very different jobs.
Every change you ship helps one side of that market and must not hurt the other. You’ll work daily with engineers, a designer and the founder, and sit close to operations, who see disputes and Tasker approvals first. In six months you should own a funnel metric end to end, have shipped changes in both Canada and India, and write problem statements the team builds from without a meeting.
What you’ll do
- Own the posting funnel, from the first word a poster types, speaks or photographs to the moment they choose an offer, and raise the share of posters who finish.
- Define and track two-sided metrics: time to first offer, offers per task, poster repeat rate and Tasker earnings per week. Give each one a target and an owner.
- Improve the screen where a poster compares offers, including price suggestions and the classifier that routes every task into about 1,300 subcategories. Use real tasks to find what breaks.
- Shape matching and trust: Tasker approval, Stripe Identity checks, the 4-digit door code, in-app messaging and how a real person decides disputes.
- Adapt the product to Canada and India, where payment works differently: in Canada Taskly holds the poster’s payment until the task is done, and in India payment goes directly. Know what each means for the screens a poster and a Tasker see.
- Interview posters and Taskers every week in both countries, then write one-page problem statements that design and engineering can build from.
- Set a success measure before each launch and check it two weeks later. Decide what not to build, and write down why.
What you’ll need
- 4+ years in product management at a software product with real users, including at least one feature you owned from problem to measured result.
- Strong product analytics: you write SQL, define funnels and cohorts, and know when an A/B test is too small to trust.
- Experience prioritizing a roadmap against competing asks from two user groups, and saying no with a reason people accept.
- Clear writing: problem statements, specs and decision notes that other people act on.
- Comfort working with engineers daily on a Next.js and Supabase stack; you can read a schema and question a trade-off.
- Availability for the shared window each weekday, 8:30–10:30 am Eastern, with a team spread across India, the US, Canada and the UAE.
Education: A degree is welcome but not required; a product you shipped and the result it had matter more.
Nice to have
- Experience at a marketplace (Airbnb, Uber, Urban Company, Swiggy, Airtasker, TaskRabbit, Upwork) or another two-sided product.
- Work on payments, trust and safety, or dispute flows.
- Shipping in India and a Western market, and knowing where users’ habits differ.
- Familiarity with LLM-powered features such as classification, moderation and price suggestions.

About Taskly
Taskly is a marketplace for getting anything done. Someone posts a task in their own words — typed, spoken or as a photo — and people who have been reviewed and approved send offers at a firm price. They pick one, and it gets done: a TV mounted, a website built, a parent taught to use their phone. We’re live in Canada and India and opening to more countries, built by a small team that works remotely across India, the US, Canada and the UAE.
